Jealousy

Does a subjective experience lose definition when one attempts to describe it?

Sean's heart skipped a few beats as his eyes met Becky's. A trickle of despair and embarrassment began to percolated through him, starting in his chest, and reaching out through his nerves to touch the tips of his fingers. The sensations shocked him, precipitating a moment of total unawareness. After this moment, he recovered, and as the ambiance began to flow in through his senses he addressed his four customers, querying them to choose beverages and appetizers.

As he watched Curtis' hand drift about Becky's thighs, Sean noticed that with each gentle stroke, an image of a seething gorilla manifested in his consciousness. Hastily retreating to the bar, he selected four glasses, filled them with ice, and began watering them. He marveled at this apprehension of a Gorilla, who was still roaring and gesticulating wildly, pounding his fist on the jungle floor. As he poured a full glass of Cabernet Sauvignon, Sean saw smashed banana leaves. Phased, he carried the tray back to the table, reflecting that he could not recall experiencing such manifestations of intense jealousy ever before.
